Specifically, the study identified policies guiding implementation of inclusive education, also examined status of inclusive education implementation and barriers for effective implementation of inclusive education. The study employed qualitative approach, and purposive sampling was preferred. A total of twenty-five participants were involved in this study, one KTEO, three headteachers, nine regular teachers and twelve pupils with disability. Interviews, observations and documentary review were used to gather data. Content analysis was employed in analysis. The study discovered that there were programs like; itinerant and school expansion programs. The study too indicated numerous barriers to effective implementation of inclusive education including; lack of infrastructure, shortage of teaching and learning facilities, lack of special education teachers in inclusive schools and poor means of transport. It is recommended that, the government make a lot of effort to implement effectively inclusive education policies and guidelines like National Strategy on Inclusive Education.
