Abstract
It has been proposed that labour be paid 30 cents per day less than half the Government minimum wage of 63 cents per day with the idea that this sub-economic wage be “topped up” from the profit of the running of the scheme.
Whilst this idea doubtless arises from the wish to give the workers a sense of participation and involvement in the scheme, this objective cannot be attained unless details are worked out meticulously in advance.
