Abstract
This study examined the impact of labour law reform on employees’ relation within the public sector’s work organizations in Tanzania. The general objective of the study was to ascertain the labour laws awareness, perception and adoption implementation of these laws among the employees and employers in work organizations. Further to that, the study focused to develop the conceptual frame work for studying antecedents to labour law reforms in the public sector in Tanzania. Particular objectives were; in the first instance to review the literature on antecedents to labour laws reform and develop a conceptual framework for testing the applicability of existing laws in the country in public sector. Secondly, to develop a theory linking a perception of labour law reforms and proposes a conceptual framework for future empirical legality and official acceptance. The third objective was to develop a research plan to be used in an empirical for testing the theory on antecedents to labour laws reform. The study reviewed existing theories and the empirical studies on labour law reforms as antecedent of employees’ relations. The same conducted studies in the public sector have received less attention by past researchers where by indicate that no study has been conducted to legalize the theory and findings in Tanzania. The theoretical literature reviewed suggests that activities in the work organizations are affected by two sets of environments which are; The Internal and external environment The internal environment includes mainly organizational factors, which are controllable by the work organization. While the external environment include among others, competition, technology, customers, suppliers and the government. The study ends up by proposing a conceptual framework of antecedents to labour laws reform and the researcher plan for executing an empirical study in public sector in Tanzania.
