Abstract
Dates on which Sudan diochs were seen in the above area are recorded. Some notes on the behaviour of the birds are also presented. The area in which Sudan diochs or Red-Billed FInches(Quelea Quelea) were seen is shown in the sketch map and is bounded by the longitudes 3500E
and 3530
E and the latitude 2
30S and 2
20`S. The observations were made while the writer was carrying out geological investigation in the area. Although from July to October the writer covered most of Eastern part of the Serengeti plains, olbalbal, Oldonyo Gol hill Quelea were only seen at the three points indicated. All the observations were made in the year 1956.
