| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to examine the key factors affecting revenue growth of the established Executive Agencies in Tanzania and to determine the major factors that lead to different revenue growth rates among the Executive Agencies. It was hypothesized that the formation of Executive Agencies has promoted revenue growth and that revenue grows at different rates among the Executive Agencies due to the different impact of factors affecting revenue growth. Views from respondents were analyzed separately using tables and calculating percentages/frequencies. The study Agencies with high revenue growth rates were found to be the ones which are in growing industries, which have suitable human resources management and which are well protected by back-up laws. It is therefore recommended that the Government should look at all the factors which affect revenue growth and critically look at the nature of the industry in which the department is, and whether there are back-up laws before establishing or launching the respective Agencies. Executive Officers on the other hand should be equipped with suitable human resource management techniques. | en_US |
