dc.description.abstractMany organizations fail to retain their employees despite the fact that they incur costs during there cruitment process. Different literatures have revealed that the employee relation is a critical issue in many organizations. The main objective of this study was to examine factors which affect workplace employee relation at the energy sector; the study was conducted at GVEP International for the aim of improving employee relation. The study used a positivism approach. The study adopted a descriptive research for which it used questionnaire to collect data. Likewise, simple random sampling was used. The study identified factors which affected workplace employee relation at the energy sector. Some of the factors were work environment, lack of enough time to get work done, poor relations between employees and managers, lack of training for skill development, lack of motivation on side of salary increase, job promotion, flexible work schedule and recognition, work pressure, work load, lack of influence over their dissatisfaction over their jobs, poor information over financial matters, lack of power to influence final decision and dissatisfaction over the achievement. From the findings of the study it is recommended that to GVEP should deal with the factors which are seen as the root cause of their problems and work on them by motivating their employees, increase their pay, involve them in decision making, develop their skills, enhance good relation between employees and managers and bring sense of achievement among its employees.en_US
