Abstract
Vegetation provider both food and shelter to wildlife and livestock. The significance of forests for a guaranteed water flow to areas around the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) cannot be underrated. Furthermore, woodlands and forests in the Ngorongoro Conservation area, just as in many other areas in Tanzania, are a source of building materials and wood fuel for the people living in the area.
