Abstract
The area under consideration lies immediately south of Kenya through which country the equator runs* The districts dealt with are Kilimanjaro and Fare in the Kilimanjaro Region, presided over by a Regional Commissioner in Moshi, and the Arusha, Mbulu and Masai Districts of the Arusha Region. Arusha itself is the rapidly developing headquarters of the newly established hast African community.
