Teaching Ethics to undergraduate business students is essential following the decline of ethical business practices on a global scale and Tanzania in particular where this study was conducted. This study was on Teaching of Ethics to Undergraduate Business Students. An Imperative Study at University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS). It aimed at exploring the way ethics is taught and perceived by the respective teachers and students at UDBS. This work is by nature qualitative. However, it used quantitative data to draw its qualitative conclusion as metaphysically speaking, quality inheres in quantity. It used qualitative data only for the purposes of getting clue on respondents’ mental setting on the idea of ethics. Data collection instruments were questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The findings revealed that the business students’ perceptions on ethical issues on job were much influenced by their religions and cultural backgrounds and unexpectedly not at large informed by the class instructions they received. The study furthermore revealed that ethics at UDBS is taught as a component in some business courses without philosophical approaches informed by ethical theories. The study recommended ethics to be taught as a stand-alone course to undergraduate business students of UDBS. It also recommended all first year students to take a course on critical thinking and argumentation offered by the department of philosophy of UDSM in which philosophical ethical theories are introduced.en_US
