Abstract

This dissertation examines the Current Public Sector reform in Tanzania, the manner the Policy of Privatisation is implement and problems associated with the implementation of the Privatisation programme in Tanzania The main problem investigated is that Privatisation...Programme in Tanzania violated fundamental principles of good Governance. In Order to understand die context the researcher braid evolution of public of Enterprises in Tanzania, and the reasons for their establishment, using both Primary and Secondary data collection methods, the dissertation reveals that the Government later on decided to Privatised Public Corporation and that the implementation was married with allegation of frauds, corruption, and violation of fundamental Principles of good governance. Following those findings the researcher has recommended that for viable privatisation to take place smoothly, there is a need to comply with both fundamental Principles of good governance and human rights provisions guaranteed by both national and International Instruments
