dc.description.abstractThe study examines the Social Economic and Political Problems facing women refugees in rural refugee settlements of Tanzania. It critically examined the role of women refugees of Burundi origin. As mothers, women in rural refugees settlement face triple problems (a) how to bring up children in difficult surroundings (b) how to cope with heavy domestic workload and (c) psychological instability due to being a refugees. These problems are aggravated by the government policy of restricting refugee’s movements outside the camps. The study depicts the impact of Government policy of restricting refugee’s movements outside the camps.
