dc.description.abstract | This Crater, pronounced by the Masai as Empakai, is second only to Ngorongoro as a world famouis beauty spot, and as such has always received special consideration from Government, with the view to its preservation in an unspoilt state. In German times it was proposed to include it in the Northern Highlands Forest Reserve which was surveyed prior to World War I, but not declared as Reserve till British times, 1927. | en_US |
