The study identities the psychosocial life situation on orphaned children who had changed caregivers in Babati district. It included 125 orphans, 34 caregivers, 16 teachers and 5 faith-based workers. Questionnaires, documentations, interviews and focus group discussions were used for data collection. Beck Youth Inventory of Emotional and Social Impairment (BYI) used to identify orphans’ psychosocial life. Spearman correlation analysis was used to establish the relationship between care giving relationships and orphan’s psychosocial life. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to predict the effects of care giving relations on orphan’s psychosocial life. Findings indicated positive significant correlation on nature of care giving relationship and orphan’s psychosocial life. Orphaned children in insecure care giving relations. These associations suggest that the nature of care giving relation has positive or negative psychosocial implication to the child. It was also supported with interview finding that orphaned were feeling lonely, truant, aggressive and unhappy. This does not imply that the community based for caring orphans is about to decline. However, it is an indication of weakened due to how income, inadequate care giving knowledge, and lack of support.en_US
