This study aimed at examining influencing attributes on effective employees’ innovation in telecommunication companies in Tanzania, using Tigo as a case study. Specifically the study focused on assessment of influence of personal competence, leadership styles, technology and financial resources on employees’ innovation in the Telecommunication Companies. The study adapted interactionist theory and Kirton’s Adaptive-Innovative Theory to understand as well as explain the extent to which the said attributes influence on employees’ innovation in Telecommunication Companies in Tanzania. The study employed a cross-sectional survey strategy. Data were collected by administering 78 structured questionaires toTigo staff. Interviews were also used to get data from 3 key informants who were senior members of Tigo, Tanzania. Findings from this study show that leadership styles and technology were strong predictors of employees’ innovation in Telecommunication Companies. Personal competence and financial resources were found to be positive but with insignificant influence on employees’ innovation that might be contributed by the fact that Tigo Tanzania is one of big Telecommunication Companies in Tanzania seen to be good in technology and leadership. Analysis was done by using statistical tools with the help of SPSS also multiple regression has been used to test hypotheses. Generally, the study findings lead to suggest that it is very crucial for organizations to consider leadership styles and technology in their operations in order to improve employees’ innovative capability. It is recommended that technology and leadership style should be very highly considered by managers when making strategies and plans for innovative growth in an organization particulary Telecommunication Industry.en_US
