The objective of this study is to evaluate factors influencing business performance of groups of entrepreneurs living with disability in Tanzania, particularly on selected groups of entrepreneurs living with disability at Ilala municipality in Dar es Salaam region. The study had four specific objectives namely, to examine the extent to which motivation, capacity enhancement, opportunity to network and SMEs development policy factors for joining the group affect performance of groups of entrepreneurs living with disabilities. The study employed structured questionnaire and interview guide to collect data which were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was used in data analysis to obtain frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. These findings were supported by qualitative data analysis whose data were obtained through key informant’s interview and focused group discussions. The findings showed that ability or capacity enhancement was the most influential factor in the performance of the ELWDs, followed by opportunities to network factor, SMEs development policy factor and motivation factor. The results have implications to the study recommendations that efforts should be directed more towards capacity enhancement of the group members to enable appropriate acquisition of skills, knowledge and experiences. It is also important to support the groups of ELWDs to utilize effectively opportunities to network and to obtain prospected motivations. Disabled entrepreneurs should be supported to adopt effectively SMEs development policy in order to establish, sustain and improve performance of groups of ELWDs.en_US
