Abstract
The main purpose of this research is to assess the major components in the employee-employer relationship within the organizational context, mainly in the Tanzanian public Parastatals sector. The study was conducted by administering questionnaires for self-filling to 30 employees at the Government Employees Pension Fund in Dar es Salaam. The instruments had two sets of questions both objective (Yes, No, N/A) and subjective (which were a set of open ended/guided interview questions). The findings revealed that employees have two sets of expectations from their employer/management which formed two types of contracts, the transactional and the social psychological contracts where by employees placed little emphasis on the transactional contract. This demands employers to invest more on training management teams and supervisors on people leadership skills to make it easier for them to handle people diversities. Academicians need to develop a theoretical framework in academic courses for the Leadership in order to bring about transformation in our organizations. Researchers should also consider further research on employee relations and explore more the mystical aspect of leadership in research in the future. [Key Terms: Employee Relations, Psychological Contract, Engagement, and Leadership].
