dc.description.abstractThe study was carried out on the effect of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on organizational performance in Tanzania. The study objectives were to identify human resources practises found in Tanzania, to examine organisation performance found in Tanzania and to establish relationship between human resources practices and organisation performance. The study adopted the primary sources of data and the use of a descriptive case research design. Fifty-five questionnaires were administered in the area randomly out of which seventy-three respondents’ questionnaire were analyzed and data was analysed using SPSS software version 20.0. The study revealed that there is significant relationship between Human Resource Management and organizational performance which were strongly positive correlated and also there is significant relationship between Human Resource Management and Employee satisfaction, which is fairly correlated. The study concluded that performance of an organization can be achieved when there is a best human resources management practice. The study recommended that all human resources key aspects must be well embraced and adhered to including Training and development, compensation and rewards, performance management, recruitment and selection. There is need to recognize that employees are organizations’ most important assets. They should be provided with programmes for personal and career development. This entails, long range planning for career development programme including ways of securing union support. The study further recommended policy implication for improvements from individual level, institutional level and governmental level and recommended a room for further studies.en_US
