dc.description.abstractThe study assessed motive, types and occasion of purchasing natural potted flowers, the study had the following specific objectives: to explore the main motives for purchasing potted natural flowers, assessment of main types of flowers that customer purchase, to explore different occasions in which these flowers are used. Data for the study were collected from 150 respondents in Dar es Salaam, to select respondents simple random sampling technique was used. Data for the study were collected through questionnaire with five point Likert scale. Result from the study were presented using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (Spss) and summarized in tables. Multiple regressions were also used in data analysis. At 95 percent confidence interval, findings from the research indicate that majority of the respondents agreed that social norms and hobby have a positive influence and were significant in explaining the purchasing of natural potted flowers, while sharing and sustainability have a positive influence but less significant in explaining the purchasing of natural potted flowers. Furthermore the study recommends that good strategy from the sellers to the community on purchasing of natural potted flowers so as to reduce negative impact on environment for the future generation, more motivation on purchasing of natural potted flowers foe the environment wise and cleanness, also increase more selling point ( locations) in Dar ea Salaam since most Tanzanians buy from see so by increase these selling point it will be easy for them to purchase more , again all community members should promote why on purchasing these natural potted flowers and when mostly through social media since the world have become a village, lastly some education about natural potted flowers should be provided either from the sellers or environment experts to the community on the importance of natural potted flowers.en_US
