Natural resources and conservation education seminar (Zambia, 1970)

The first requirement in formulating principles to be applied at all stages must be to define basic objectives. these are: i) Standardization of the meeting of: Natural resources and conservation of natural resources ii) Through leadership and education to develop a conservation consciousness in the minds of all sections of the community the endeavoring to achieve these objectives, some of the main problems are- i) Insufficient financial and political support ii) Shortage of technical and experiences personnel in the natural resource discipline iii) Insufficient appreciation by natural resources administrator/manager of the need for, and the methods of educating natural resources users. iv) In agriculture, insufficient attention to traditional methods and the use of traditional implementation which creates a communication barrier between extension services and land users
