dc.description.abstractThe Study was about an Assessment of the Contribution of Microfinance in Enhancing Entrepreneurship in Tanzania. Specifically it aimed at examining extent at which psychological capital (self-efficacy, optimism, hope and resilience) can bring success among loan clients. To examine the extent at which social capital /Network ties (Relational, Hope, and Structural) can lead the success of loan clients. In this study, a conceptual framework and research propositions are developed to explain how microfinance can translate into higher levels of psychological and social capital in clients. In doing this, the extent to which microfinance institutions provide support which may strengthen the impact of microfinance provision on psychological and social capital, especially for entrepreneurs at Machinga Complex and Kariakoo. The conceptual framework and research propositions developed in this study will be of use to academics in designing an agenda for future empirical research. In addition, they will help policymakers and microfinance providers to better design microfinance initiatives that enhance the well-being of clients and maximize their entrepreneurial outcomes.en_US
