This study analyses the constraints that inhibit Tanzania leather export from 1978 to 2008. It employs a time series regression analysis in which export of leather is assumed to be determined by price of leather in the world market, cost of production, export of hides and skins and collection of hides and skins. The results indicate that, price of leather in the world market, export of hides and skins and cost of production have impact on Tanzania leather export during the sample period. While the cost of production contributed to the decreased in Tanzania leather export, collection of hides and skins is not significant variable on constrains to Tanzania leather export.en_US
