dc.description.abstract | This study aimed at the assessment of the relationship between job involvements in role job performance. The major objective was to find out the mediation effect of organizational commitment along with its dimensions namely: affective, normative and continuance commitment, on job involvement and in role job performance. The study employed descriptive cross sectional approaches in which the existing phenomena on the job involvement and the employee’s in role job performance with in the public sector organizations were described. Random sampling was used in the selection of respondents to the research questionnaire and inferential statistics was carried out to assess the relationship between independent and dependent variables using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The study findings showed that both dimensions of organizational commitment have positive and strong relationship with job involvement and on in role job performance. The findings further indicated correlation results of variables in that job involvement and in role job performance were positively correlated with each other, but the relationship between them was not strong. The results were also interpreted to see the mediating effect of organizational commitment and its relationship with job involvement and in role job performance. These studies concluded that job involvement and in role job performance are positively related with each other and that organizational commitment enhances their relationship through a mediation effect. | en_US |
