dc.description.abstractOutsourcing is one of the top business challenges experienced in today’s world by supply chain leaders. The organization decides to outsource non-core business functions such as Information Technology (IT), financial services and facility maintenance with a view to improve organizational performance. Outsource helps to minimize operational costs such as payment of salaries and statutory benefits to permanent and pensionable employees. The IT outsourcing has made the organizations to gain access to advanced technology and able to respond to future technological uncertainty. This study reviews various theoretical frameworks and empirical framework sand enlightens the usefulness of outsourcing IT functions to for organization performance. The conceptual framework shows relationship of the dependant variables focus on core business, cost advantages and advanced technology and independent variable organization performances. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources including desktop research, interview and participatory approach. The researcher reviewed TPSC’s reports and interviewed a random sample of TPSC staffs in three branches namely Dar es Salaam, Mtwara and Tabora. A test for hypothesis was done by using linear multiple regression after analyzing data by using SPSS. The null hypothesis was rejected so that focuses on core business, cost advantage and technological advantages leads to the organizations performance. Finally it is concluded that for the organization to improve organization performances in term increases number clients and increases of revenue then it has to focus on core business, seek for cost reduction and access to the advanced technology.en_US
