| dc.description.abstract | This study was carried out to find out the ghost of East Africa Trade liberalization on Tanzania's agricultural trade flow in the region. Main objective of this study is to measure the effect of EAC Trade Liberalisation Agreements on Tanzania's Agriculture Trade Flow in order to evaluate EAC CU as a stimulus to achievement of Tanzania's broad economic goals; and identifying key intervention for Tanzania to gain maximum benefit from EAC trade liberalisation. Specifically the study seeks to identify key determinants of EAC Agricultural Trade Flow such as GDP, per capita GDP, and Economic distance. In addition the study seeks to determine trade creation and trade diversion effect of EAC CU on Agriculture Trade. The research techniques used to collect secondary data collected through review of literature and different statistical bodies such as the National Bureau of Statistics in Tanzania and the Central Statistical Office in Kenya. The results emerged from the study shows that agricultural trade flows in Tanzania is positive related to EAC trade arrangements. Also in regard to exports their volume increases with increase in incomes and decline over long distances. On the part of imports, their volume declines with increase in incomes and increases over long distances. | en_US |
