This econometric analysis has shown that there is a significant relations between total expenditure a “proxy” for income and household size. Age, education and household payment are the next important factors. Although occupation category indicates slight influence it tends to show something which may be considered. The study has further revealed out that manual workers labourers tend to consume less food and protein the former is a necessary item for a balanced diet. In the rural areas an insignificant expenditure elasticity of demand for soap and declining age and family elasticity for the commodities were noted. Adult education to educate people the vitality of the commodities for the cleanliness in general is highly recommendeden_US
