dc.description.abstract | This research was conducted at Mtwara Teachers College, Mtwara Technical Teachers College and Nachingwea Teachers College in Mtwara and Lindi regions as a case study. The general research objective is to investigate the application and usefulness of ICT marketing in enhancing teaching and learning in the public teachers colleges as a case study. Specifically the study focused on the established relationship between the availability and accessibility of education websites, to establish the relationship between the extents to which education databases are organised, to establish the relationship between the availability and accessibility of education multimedia and to establish the relationship between the availability and accessibility of a local area education network. The study adopted a positivism research paradigm; the study used research primary sources in carrying out the analysis. By using questionnaires the research targeted 120 respondents from the field. However, a 90 percent response rate was achieved. The software package for statistical Science (SPSS) was applied to perform data analysis, with a multiple regression model for hypothesis testing. The findings show that the availability and accessibility of information technologies has a strong relationship in enhancing teaching and learning processes. The problems identified by the researcher include ability of tutors, student’s teachers in the use of information, and communication technologies in teaching/learning. Thus the study recommended that efforts should be directed in bringing about enhancement of teaching and learning processes. | en_US |
