The problems of poor working environment coupled with low performance of health workers in the low and middle-income countries like Tanzania, is receiving increased global attention. Some of the reviewed studies conducted in Tanzania have looked at health workers’ performance and working condition factors indicated limited information on the role of working conditions on the performance of health workers in public health sectors. This study examined the effects of working conditions on employees’ job performance for public health care facilities. The study used primary and secondary data in which questionnaires were used as the main tool for collecting data, and a sample size of 150 individuals who were purposively selected was employed. The study findings indicate that, working condition had an impact on members as far as respondents are concerned. The study also revealed that employees will improve their performance if there will be improvements in level of interaction among workers, office layout as well as comfort level in the offices. In conclusion based on the findings, the study recommended that, health care institutions should have a good program that will enable the employees to balance their works as this will provide motivation and retain them, Employers should make available adjustable and flexible furniture to all workers to make them more comfortable. Management should also find ways and means of communicating their goals and strategies to their employees to achieve what the organization is in business for, its mission and vision.en_US
