This study intended to assess the extent of contribution of CCBRT-Fistula project in controlling fistula among the Tanzanian women. It was carried out at CCBRT Hospital, Kimweri Street, in Kinondoni Municipality. It had three specific objectives namely; to examine the factors influencing women attendance to treatment, examining the role of CCBRT in controlling Fistula and to evaluate interventions carried out in controlling fistula among the Tanzanian women. It used bothquantitative and qualitative studies whereby probability sampling used to get the respondents from among the women went for fistula treatment at CCBRT, treated and discharged women and non-fistula community members, and the key informants were selected by using purposive sampling making the total of 122 participants. Questionnaires, interviews, observation, and focus Group were used to collect the data which then was analyzed by using IBM (SPSS). It was revealed that the obstacles towards controlling fistula in Tanzania include lack or wrong information the community has about fistula; its causes, effects and treatments, lack of; proper referral system, money for treatment and guidelines, standards and protocols from the government. CCBRT plays great role to unlock these obstacles by creation of awareness, mobilizing all the important resources and stakeholders and helping in referral system which help in fighting fistula in the community. The interventions carried out include the treatment, capacity building, providing transport, meals and accommodations; rehabilitation and reintegration. In order to control fistula, the government is recommended to provide the guidelines and fistula desk; CCBRT should effectively use the agents and keep on lobbyingtowards policy change. The communityshould continue supporting CCBRT hospital in its efforts to fight fistulaen_US
