This study was conducted at university of dare s salaam to assess Users, satisfaction with the University of Dar es Salaam Library Website. The focus was on the students experience with the site as a virtual gateway to the academic electronic information resources available for their studies. Data for this research are collected through a survey using self administered questionnaire, supplemented by interviews and observation. The data obtained were analyzed using frequencies and percentages for each item and the results were presented in tables, graphs, bar charts and per charts. The key findings revealed that, a significant number of students were not aware of the presence of the library website. However, those who had used the site indicated relative satisfaction with the website’ design, content and usefulness in their information search for academics. Moreover, those who use the site had been using it rarely due to the lack of reliable internet access point as most of students depend on the few available computers connected to the internet in the library. The study concluded that, although the site was not popular, the library had generally set up a well-designed and useful website which only needed some few improvements to make it more the situation by allocating more necessary resources for enhancing the website and setting strategies in order to market the website to its target users. Moreover, addition of more access points at departmental and faculty levels would useful to increase students’ use of the web as one of the resources in their studies.en_US
