Many developing countries are looking at tourism and tourism Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) as a promising av¬enue for economic and human sustainable development. This is a relatively new approach for some countries, and it reflects the rapid rise in tourism in terms of both numbers of arrivals and revenues in recent years. This study analyses the increase in FDI trends in Tanzania with a particular interest in Tourism sector/industry to find out if its trade performance has been improved, in terms of exports. This will also give an indication of how the Tourism growth leads to economic growth as we know the service sector is growing fast in the world. It uses econometric estimation techniques, namely ordinary least square (OLS) and error correction model (ECM).The findings show that FDI in tourism has significant contribution to export performnce of the sector, as well as the GDP of the host country. Policies and Strategies for different sectors should be integrated together so that the growth of the economy should be sustainable, and its spill over benefits be enhanced.en_US
