Revisiting the regional integration project in East Africa : Is it near or far from the promised land?

Abstract

This scholarly edited volume examining the history, legal foundations, achievements, challenges, and future prospects of regional integration in East Africa. The book focuses on the East African Community and addresses political federation, human rights, migration, statelessness, displacement, labour mobility, investment, trade barriers, and inter-state disputes. It brings together contributions from scholars and legal experts to assess whether the East African regional integration project is moving closer to its intended objectives.
