Using the similarity transformation variable, the governing partial differential equations of motion are transformed into non linear ordinary differential equations. The governing equations of motion solved numerically using fourth order Runge-Kutta method as well as shooting technique which is found to give a better approximation and gives solution for the guess values. After analysis governing parameters like Prandtl number Pr, mixed convection parameter and viscosity parameter ε obtained. Scaled stream-wise velocity and temperature distributions, skin friction coefficient and the heat transfer coefficient are presented and discussed. The results show that, there is a significant effect of the obtained parameters on the fluid flow. It is evident that as viscosity increases, temperature distribution decreases.enViscosityHeatConvectionMathematical modelsThe effect of variable viscosity on mixed convection boundary layer flow over a cylinder with Newtonian heatingThesis
