I have set out in this dissertation to explore patterns of employment in road and building construction sectors in post privatization era. The research focused into addressing the gap mainly with objective of exploring patterns of employment in road and building construction sectors in post privatization era. The research was based on questionnaire survey where by data were gathered through self administered questionnaires responded by sampled 42 personnel from construction sectors. The study identified a number of findings which indicates that most of the respondents in the construction sectors are in favour of privatization because of its benefits compared to the problems encountered after privatization. Some of the problems found were: low level of salaries to casual workers, poor working conditions but the benefits outweighs the problems as a lot of people have been employed in the construction sectors in nowadays. It was recommended to the Government of Tanzania (GoT) to have a clear objective linking the short and long-term visions of the privatization programme in Tanzania. The Construction sectors regulatory bodies in Tanzania should cancel the registration of the firms failed to adhere to the stipulated rules and regulations.enConstruction industryEmploymentDar es SalaamTanzaniaEvaluation of post – privatization employment creation in Tanzania: case of road and building construction industry in Dar es SalaamThesis
