The methodology employed to carry out this study was sampling technique. Objective one aimed to examine how the training process conducted in TANESCO changed employees’ behavior as a result of training. The study found that the training needs identification process was guided by the skill gaps identified for employees hence changed the employee’s behavior. Objective two aimed to examine the reaction of employees to the relevance of the course conducted as per training plan. The study found that employees were certified with the course conducted ad nomination towards attending the planned course. In the course of findings of the study, the study found that TANESCO as a company and its employees are all part of the long-term beneficiaries of the company’s training plan. The study recommended some measure to improve human resources development in Tanzania electric company limited. First the employer is argued to support and encourage training and also try and initiate training courses that are work related. Second the employer is argued to have a regular employment of engineers that corresponds with the expected number of retiring as most of them are approaching the retiring age.
