It is done by examining the relationship between household number and size with other demographic variables. The availability of these projections will help in planning purposes as the country is implementing its strategy for growth and reduction of poverty (SGRP). Regression techniques are used to make projections of household size whereby the number of households are obtained by division of the projected population with household size. The projections were done using demographic variables, which are children aged 0-19 years and marital status. The results show that, both average household size and number of households will increase. Household size is expected to be large when compared with European countries. There is positive relationship between the size of a household and the variable 0-19 years: but it is negative with married population.enHousehold surveysTanzaniaHousehold projections for Tanzania: 2003-2025Thesis
