dc.description.abstractThe threat posed by organised and transnational crime is a serious issue for many developing countries and fragile States, powerful transnational criminal networks constitute a direct threat to the State itself by penetrating State institutions apply perfectly to the context of the East African Community which faced serious challenges for peace and security, which is caused by different factors such as armed conflict, political crisis, democracy and governance deficits the region also suffers heavily. This dissertation analyse the role of regional organisations like the East African Community in applying a leading role to address regional threats and challenges such as the emergence of transnational and organized crime.en_US
