A Sunday news write-up of 14th October,1984 by Ndugu Trevor G. Lit-edge on renaming Dar es salaam after President Nyerere cannot pass without comment In appreciation for what our great leader has done for this nation, I fully support the writer that it would be timely and appropriate we started to symbolize our president by bestowing honours not only with medals,but through naming some dignifying institutions after his name.
