Obstetric and gynaecology cases and commentaries

This dissertation is submitted as part of the requirements for the award of the degree of Master of Medicine (M.Med.) of the University of Dar es Salaam. It consists of three parts. The first section consists of ten gynaeological conditions which are common and important problems not only at Muhimbili Medical Centre but in other centres as well. The second part composes of ten common obstetric conditions. A short commentary is written on one aspect of each condition. The last part is made of a research done over a period of six months on the prevalence of Acquired Immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS) in pregnancy at Muhimbili Medical Centre. The implication of the late presentation and diagnosis on the control is discussed.
