Abstract
The study is about the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of specified Gynaecological and obstetric cases with commentaries on the process of handling the cases and the ensuring results. The gynaecological cases and commentaries included in the study are: A case study of Hydatid form moleevacuation and curettage; Ruptured tubal pregnancy; Incomplete abortion; Evacuation of products of conception done; Bartholin’s abscess; marsupialization; A case of carcinoma of cervix stage IIA treated by Radiotherapy; A case of Haematocolposdueto imperforate hymen; Incision of the hymen done; a case of Reported Sexual assault; A case of undetected uterine perforation following an evacuation for incomplete abortion; A case of uterine fibroids; Total abdominal hysterectomy done and Paracervical block anaesthesia for evacuation of In complete abortion in patients admitted at Muhimbili Gynaecologic ward in 1982. The obstetric cases studied included: A case of cervical incompetence treated by McDonald sature; Premature Rupture of membrane; Expectant management and induction at 37 weeks; severe anemia in pregnancy, Elderly primigravida delivered by emergency Gaesarean section; Discordant twins with antepartum death of one and one live birth; Multiparty; Ruptured uterus subtotal hyslerectomy done; Assisted breech delivery; placenta praevia; conservative management and spontaneous vaginal delivery; Heart disease in pregnancy; Univentful assisted vaginal delivery at terms; Abdominal pregnancy; Laparatomy done a live baby was delivered and The management and outcome of patients with previous caesarian sections cars at Muhimbili Medical Centre A prospective study. Commentaries are given after each case studied and handled.
