Obstetric and gynaecologic cases and commentaries

The dissertation is submitted as part of the requirements for the award of the Degree of Master of Medicine (M.Med.) of the University of Dar es Salaam. It consists of three sections. Section one consists of the introduction which describes in some detail the organization of obstetric and gynaecological services at the Muhimbili Medical Centre in Dar es Salaam. Section Two consists of ten obstetrical conditions encountered in day to day practice and a long obstetrical commentary. Section Three consists of ten gynaecological conditions encountered in day to day practice and a long gynaecological commentary. To the author's best capability, the management of the conditions was done to acceptable standards and availability of facilities. A short commentary is given regarding one aspect of each case
