dc.description.abstractThe study is about the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of specified gynaecological and obstetric cases with commentaries on the process of handling the cases and the ensuing results. The gynaecological cases and commentaries included in the study are: ambiguous extenal genitalalia; schistosomiasis of the female genital tract; post abortal pyometra drainage; Ruptured ectopic pregnancy; uterine leiomyoma with menorrhagia; caranoma of the cervix in HIV era; post hysterectomy uretero-vaginal fistula; incomplete abortion; manual vacuumaspiration and isertion of intrauterine contraceptive device; post-coetal vaginal tear repair and twisted ovarian cyst. The obstetric cases studied included: Intrauterine Fetal Death; Dilated Cardiomyopathy with pregnancy; placental praevia management protocol; Rupture of the Gravid Uterus; subtotal Hysterectomy; Recurrent Eclampisia; Anaemia in pregnmancy due to malarial infection in a primigravida; Umbilical Cord Prolapse; Caesarian section live Baby; Adolescent pregnancy; Cervical incompetence; Mac Donald’s Suture and Successful Vagina; delivery and Advanced Abdominal Pregnancy: management of the placenta; Commentaries are given after each case studied and handled.en_US
