dc.description.abstractThis dissertation is the result of a research study carried out to understand the structure, functions and activities of the board of internal trade and 24 associated companies, in Tanzania. The motive behind this task is in the main, to follow the main streams of operations in the management of trade, particularly, in the way the information process flows. Part of the intention is to record the set up for future reference in the systems development effort and part, to contend with the present and foreccable future needs of areas exposed to likely benefits through automatic data processing. The study is divided into two sections : Section 1 consists of four chapters. The first three chapters considers the tri-set groups of organizations, namely, the board of Internal Trade, The National Trading Companies, The regional Trading Companies respectively and their connections. The fourth chapter in this section discusses the control and prerequisite aspects where potential ADP application may enhance efficiency in an organization. Section 11consists of three chapters. The section treats a complete real of the systems development cycle of a workshop in one of the importing companies. The Domestic and Bicycle company(DABCO). Chapter five, is an account of the present system in operation. Chapter six deals with the requirement specification for the improvement of the workshop. The last chapter elaborates on the requirements with a new systems design of the workshopen_US
