Abstract
This study examined the challenges that are facing Micro Finance Institutions in serving micro and small enterprises. In order to achieve the study objective, data was obtained through questionnaires and in-depth interview from FINCA respondents and also documentary. The findings showed that, the organization has no any intention to help the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in Tanzania as it does not even provide the business education on entrepreneurship before giving out the loan to the customers. Also, to the great extent it was observed that it had not contributed anything to poverty reduction campaign since that the big part of the profit obtained go back to the organization through the high interest rate charged. Not only that the conditions and the procedures considered in order to get the loan were very stiff and unmanageable to the customers and did not favor them at all.
