Ten Surgical Conditions.

Abstract

This dissertation conforms to the master of medicine degree in surgery of the University of Dar es salaam. It is a discussion of ten different surgical conditions seen and managed at Muhimbili Medical Center, during the period of training from 1993 to 1997. The text is divided into four parts, consisting of three topics on general surgery, three topics on thoracic surgery, two topics in urology and two topics on Orthopedics and Trauma. In each topic a case is presented in detail, the rest of the cases are summarized, relevant literature is reviewed and the topic is discussed with particular references to observations made at Muhimbili Medical Center Dar es salaam.
