The system provides an intuitive GIS based interface to database which contain the data coutinely collected by the Ministry from schools in Tanzania. The NSIMS makes use of relational database MySQL, Map Server and Chameleon to store and manipulate and deliver spatial. Data respectively. It uses Web Server called Apache and server-side scripting language namely Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP). The aim of this study was achieved through the creation of the NSIMS software.
