Abstract
In this study, the researcher set out to interrogate the relationship between EAC regional cooperation in agriculture on the one hand, and the right to adequate food on the other. Specifically, the researcher sought to evaluate the progress that has been made by Uganda in realizing the right to adequate food, the challenges impending they said realization and what lessons Uganda can learn from other countries that have made substantial progress in realizing the right. It proceeded on the hypothesis that Uganda’s failure to realize the right can partly be attributed to insufficient regional cooperation in agriculture. Thereafter, this was tested through field work carried out primarily through interview and observation. In addition to desktop research – whereby the findings proved the hypothesis .Based on these findings, a number of recommendations were made
