dc.description.abstractA non linear mathematical model is formulated and analysed to study the effect of screening of unaware infectives on the transmission dynamics of HIV/AIDS and logistic population growth infectives. The proposed model subdivides the population of interest into four sub population depending on the HIV status of individuals. The sub classes are Susceptibles, Unaware infectives, Screened infectives and Full blown AIDS. A qualitative analysis of the model was done in order to determine the possibility of existence and stability of endemic and disease free equilibriums. The Lyapunov function technique was used to determine the global stability of the model. The basic reproduction number which is cardinal parameter governing the spread of disease will be computed using the next generation operation approach. Local stability of the diseases free equilibrium can be analysed using basic reproduction number as the bifurcation parameter that is locally asymptotically stable if an unstable when . The local asymptotic stability of endemic equilibrium can be analyzed by using the theorem of Centre manifold and the global stability of endemic equilibrium and can be constructed using positive Lyapunov function. Matlab will be used for Numerical simulation of the model. It is finally concluded that transmission dynamical of HIV/AIDS with screening results to logistic population growth.en_US
