    Assessment of information system quality in Temesa

    This study assesses Information system Quality in TEMESA. The assessment involved development of a model, identification of indicators, testing the applicability of the indicators, selecting the applicable indicators and using them to measure the information system quality in the Agency. A two stage sampling technique was deployed in which the first stage was purposive sampling whereby out of twenty six (26) regions only five (5) were selected. The second stage was random sampling in which information users were randomly selected in their offices. The results of the study showed numerous indicators that can be used to measure ISQ in TEMESA. The results also establish factors that affect ISQ in the Agency. This led to a conclusions that among the factors that affect the ISQ in the Agency include; Inadequate technical skills and competence of IS staff. It is recommended that TEMESA should develop IS policies and guidelines, encouraging IS implementation, the need for committed agency leadership, strategies planning for IS applications in the Agency, long term (future oriented) IS planning and budgeting, establish standards for measuring performance in the Agency, alignment of IS strategies with business objectives and lastly the prioritizing of IS as a strategic tool in the Agency.
