(University of Dar es Salaam, 2019) Mlembe, Damas Charles
This study intended to investigate growth strategies that enhance family businesses. It employed quantitative research approach through a case study school (HEMS). The study adopted purposive sampling procedure. Units of inquiry for this study included individual education practitioners, pupils and staff. Data were collected through primary and secondary data sources. The analyses were dealt with in three categories which are descriptive statistics, hypotheses testing, and relative importance indices (RII). The study findings indicate the maximum ratio of pupils to teacher for growth of an education center to be fifteen (15), while maximum ratio of pupils to non-teachers to be seventeen (17). It also indicated that increasing pupils enrollment generates more centers’ revenue resulting in profits applied for the center’s growth. Catalysts are the strategic actions as applied in the education production process. This study concludes that education centers should employ the right staff meanwhile, striving to increase the pupils’ enrollment as well as applying the constructive strategies for their own growth. This study recommends ten sets of strategies actions to enhance growth of education centers as being proposed in the last chapter of this dissertation report.
