(University of Dar es Salaam, 2014) Masele, George
The purpose of this research is to examine the factors influencing adoption of Online Banking services as means of financial services in Tanzania. A research framework based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) combined customers perceived security/risk. The sample for this survey was drawn from individual bank customers using online banking with 128 responses collected and analyzed. Due to the quantitative nature of the study, the results are analyzed with statistical measures. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used as a method for data analysis. The result of multiple regression show that all proposed hypotheses, Amount of Information on Online Banking Services, perceived usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Security/Privacy have positive significant relationship on Behavior Intention to adopt online banking Services. From managerial standpoint, It is recommended that, bank should take some consideration to apply online banking by delivering the information in an easiest way, provide more usefulness and benefits and also minimize the fraud as providing more security and privacy. This will helps the bank to increase their profit by reducing its cost, time saving and retain more potential users. This knowledge would also help managers to decide about the extent to which technology-based systems can be used, the appropriate type of these systems, the pace of implementation, and the type of customer support required
